Legal V1
Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: June 28, 2026
This policy is designed for GPTSee's V1 parser: public static HTML fetching with robots checks, rate limits, redirect controls, and SSRF protection.
Allowed Use
GPTSee is intended for legitimate analysis of public web pages, especially by site owners, marketers, SEOs, developers, agencies, and business operators who want to understand how a page reads when flattened into static text and markdown-like output.
Prohibited Use
You must not use GPTSee to:
- Access, test, scan, or probe private, internal, loopback, link-local, metadata-service, or non-public network resources.
- Bypass robots.txt, login walls, paywalls, authentication, authorization, IP restrictions, bot controls, or other access controls.
- Submit URLs that contain credentials, session tokens, private documents, personal data, secrets, or confidential information without authorization.
- Impersonate GPTSee, ChatGPT, OpenAI, a browser, another crawler, another person, or another service.
- Use GPTSee for high-volume scraping, automated bulk extraction, search indexing, competitive data harvesting, or resale of third-party content.
- Interfere with target sites, GPTSee infrastructure, provider infrastructure, or other users.
- Upload, submit, or request malware, exploit payloads, phishing pages, abusive content, illegal content, or content that facilitates harm.
- Reverse engineer abuse protections, evade rate limits, create multiple accounts to bypass limits, or hide the source of abusive traffic.
- Use outputs to infringe intellectual property rights, violate privacy rights, or breach another site's terms.
Target-Site Respect
GPTSee is a diagnostic tool, not a permission system. A successful fetch does not mean a target site authorizes every downstream use of its content. You are responsible for respecting the target site's rights, terms, robots policy, and applicable law.
Enforcement
GPTSee may block a request, return an error, reduce limits, suspend an account, cancel access, remove share links, or preserve and review logs when use appears unsafe or abusive. We may also update limits or controls without notice where needed to protect the product, users, target sites, or providers.
